The Blockchain Pulse 2024 Study, which we conducted together with vision&, the Center for Financial Services Innovation (FSI-HSG) at the University of St. Gallen, and mintminds AG, paints a clear picture: many banks are recognizing the potential of blockchain technologies – particularly in areas such as trade finance, settlement, and digital identity.

Yet despite these insights, concrete implementation in many institutions remains on hold. Why is that? And more importantly: how can this be changed?
